15th century medieval tapestries
The Vintage wall tapestry shows a typical late 15th century medieval tapestries scene, showing the stages of producing wine from harvesting to sampling by the owners of the vineyard. This celebrated tapestry wallhanging, also known as Les Vendanges tapestry, is in the Cluny Museum, Paris. Today it is woven in France in 80% cotton and 20% viscose and is lined, with a rod pocket – we supply hanging instructions with each order.
Note: the above image shows the larger size (now discontinued) – the background being a dark blue. The smaller size has a slightly lighter colour.
