William Morris tapestry design
The Morris Portiere. medium. maroon tapestry wallhanging is woven in France in three sizes and two colour versions in a timeless William Morris tapestry design. This is the medium maroon/brown tapestry; there’s also a green/yellow version. (A portiere is a slim tapestry which used to be hung on either side of doors in the French chateaux.)
The Morris Portiere tapestry is woven in a fine weave of 50% wool and 50% cotton and is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging – we supply instructions for this with each order.
