Creation of Adam tapestry
Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel
The Creation of Adam tapestry, La Creazione tapestry, shows God breathing life into Adam, their fingers almost touching. This fresco was painted by Michelangelo in the centre of the Sistine Chapel ceiling at the Vatican between 1508 and 1512. Remarkably, he painted over 300 figures in over 500 square metres of ceiling. This central scene is now available in an Italian wall tapestry woven in 53% viscose, 41% cotton and 6% polyester, and it is fully lined with a rod pocket. With every order we enclose suggestions to help you hang and care for your tapestry.
