The Orange Tree
John Henry Dearle wall tapestry
The Orange Tree tapestry was originally designed as a firescreen by John Henry Dearle. It was woven by Morris & Co in 1900, four years after the death of William Morris though is thoroughly true to his ideals. Today this John Henry Dearle wall tapestry is woven in France by long-established weavers in 80% cotton and 20% viscose. It is fully lined with a rod pocket – we supply instructions for its easy wall-hanging.
