Le Feu tapestry
Palace of Versailles
Le Feu tapestry, which translates as The Fire tapestry, was woven originally in the 17th century for a convent in Paris. It is now exhibited at the Palace of Versailles. It is one of those tapestries in which you always see something new in its details; one you never fully comprehend. This magnificent Belgian tapestry is woven in 49% cotton, 18% trevira, 18% mercurise, 10% wool and 5% polyester. It is lined with a rod pocket for easy wall-hanging – we supply instructions for this with each order.
